If the recently closed beta of Hitman didn’t get you excited for the newest title in this long running series, maybe a new trailer will.
Io Interactive, most famously known for the Hitman titles, released the opening trailer to provide a little more back story behind the new title. The trailer takes you all the way back to the first Hitman title, Codename: 47, all the way through Blood Money. You can check out the trailer below.
This trailer bridges the 20 year gap between the prologue, which takes place in 2016’s Hitman, and the first mission in the game. This gap is where the stories of the other titles occurred.
Hitman’s open beta was closed on February 22nd, but received positive feedback. Hannes Seifert, Studio Head at Io-Interactive, had this to say on the beta:
Our initial beta was an extremely helpful moment for our new HITMAN game, as it gave us great insight into how the server game mechanics function under pressure. A lot of those pressure points are currently being strengthened for release
Hitman will release on March 11th on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Playstation Plus members will have extra access to the beta on March 4th to continue stress testing Io Interactive’s servers.
