Heroes Of Newerth Begins Open Beta

S2 Games have stated that their closed beta is coming to a close today at 4:00 PM PST,  heralding the start of the game’s open beta test.
This is to coincide with the release of their new front interface, matchmaking and general polish 0.3.1 patch.Although it is a marked improvement to stability in the chat system there are still major flaws with certain aspects. Like dead links, replays failing to show, not sending you to the after battle stat screen etc. It’s likely that S2 will be on it like houseflies and Heroes of Newerth (hereafter referred to as HoN) will be even more polished before release.Maliken also stated that only closed-beta pre-paid accounts will have the abilities to taunt, and have the golden shield and golden chat colour. This, and S2 have announced a new micro-transaction of sorts to reset an account stats for the large sum of $20 USD. He said “It is priced to be a deterrent from people intentionally griefing and then just paying to reset their “sins”.”Hints of more heroes and other features and feature improvements were stated.
