An update from Double Fine Productions on Fig goes over the progress that’s been made with the crowdfunded Psychonauts 2.
The new video covers a few topics, including news the Fig crowdfunding platform has been approved by the SEC and they can now collect money from investors.
Psychonauts 2 has raised more than 3.8 million and now it’s time to show off some of the work that’s been done. In the video. Tim Schaefer is joined by Project Lead Zak McClendon to show how the Unreal 4 powered game looks on the latest hardware. To test the game, the team has recreated the summer camp from the first game in the new engine. This will not appear in Psychonauts 2, it’s purely for testing and experimental purposes and it looks cracking.
Zak demonstrates Raz’s moves to which they have worked on at this stage to make sure the basics are all in place and working. Moves that are not yet complete are also shown giving a great insight into what to expect.
