Forza Horizon 4 will be speeding its way onto Windows 10 and Xbox One in just a few weeks. The fourth installment of the beloved Horizon series has been highly-anticipated all year, and the hype just shot through the roof last week after a free demo was released.
If you happen to be one of the folks who can’t wait for the game to finally to release, then you’re definitely going to want to know how much storage space you’ll need to house this upcoming gem. It turns out that Forza Horizon 4 has the biggest file size ever out of all of the Horizon titles. Thus, you will need 62.92GB of storage space in order to download and install the game.
Such a massive file size has become pretty commonplace among the AAA crowd of modern releases. That said, nearly 63GB is still nothing to scoff at. Depending on your Internet speeds, it could take several hours to download the game in its entirety. I recently experienced trying to download a few games while connected to hotel Wi-Fi, and that sure was a nightmare. Those progress bars hardly ever moved. So, if you have to deal with similarly slow speeds on a daily basis, then I suggest immediately starting the demo once your download begins in order to try and pass the time.
With that said, Forza Horizon 4‘s file size is still a lot smaller than last year’s Forza Motorsport 7. That heavyweight actually came in at a whopping 97.64 GB. Considering that Horizon 4 is a fully open-world racer, the size difference is even more impressive.
Forza Horizon 4 will be speeding onto Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One consoles on October 2. You can check out my recently-released article (and video) about my impressions of the demo version of the game by clicking here.
