The launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is just a week away. Ahead of the release, Activision and Treyarch have released the first roadmap. This gives you an insight into what to expect at launch and in the first season. If you are a Call of Duty fan, you will be familiar with these roadmaps. However, the roadmap for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War appears to be less detailed than previous roadmaps for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone. It still gives you an insight into what is to come in the future.
First, Nuketown ’84 will be released on November 24. This fan favorite map has appeared in multiple Call of Duty: Black Ops titles. Fans appear to be excited to hop into some Nuketown action once again. The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War roadmap shows that Season 1 will begin on December 10. According to a Call of Duty blog post, this is when the integration of the new title and Call of Duty: Warzone will begin.
As always, a new season means new maps and modes. Not only will you see this in multiplayer, but in Zombies too. You may be pleased to learn that the launch of Season 1 will see the return of 2v2 gunfight. This unique mode was first introduced in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and will be continued to be enjoyed in the next title. Players should also expect new weapons, although it is currently unknown what they will be.
Will the Prestige system return?
Treyarch has also teased that a Prestige system will be returning to Call of Duty. For the first time, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone will be integrated with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. It will be interesting to see how this plays out when the game is released on November 13.
