Baldur’s Gate 3 minimum system requirements

Surprisingly, Baldur’s Gate 3 can run on your Mac. The only thing that Larian Studios states about the minimum settings for macOS is the fact that it’ll run at low to medium settings. At minimum, make sure you have a MacBook Pro that’s from 2016 or newer. Anything older than that will probably not run this game well.

Otherwise, players on a Windows PC at minimum need 8 GB of RAM, as well as CPUs that are at least around 10 years old. Basically, you can definitely run Baldur’s Gate 3 on a lower-end PC, but it may need to rely on low and medium graphical settings.

Baldur’s Gate 3 recommended system requirements

Looking at the recommended system requirements, you can see that some of these specs are fairly new. If you’ve built or bought your PC with the latest hardware within the last six years, you’ll be fine. Most of the recommended specs are only around 4 years old, which means you don’t need the most expensive PC on the market to run this game.

Although, if you want to run this on macOS, Larian Studios recommends you have a MacBook Pro from at least 2019. This will allow you to run Baldur’s Gate 3 on high or ultra settings. Also, for both operating systems, the recommended memory doubles. Anyone planning to play this game on high settings will need a decent enough PC, but nothing too fancy. The only thing that may get in your way is the huge 150 GB of space needed for this game.
