The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom presents players with a variety of collectibles. One collectible, the Bubbul Gem, requires you to defeat strange frog enemies in caves around Hyrule. When you defeat the cave frogs that send out a trail of bubbles, they drop Bubbul Gem items. You can trade those gems for loot. If you need more information, check our guide on how to get and use Bubbul Gems. The frogs you must defeat as part of the process aren’t difficult. Finding them is the problem.

The frog in Hebra South Summit Cave hides especially well. Before you go looking for it, make sure you have a working bow, Arrows, and Fire Fruit. Once you are suitably equipped, work your way almost to the end of the cave after entering it from the direction of Hebra Trailhead Lodge.

As you approach the end of the cave, you will defeat an enemy that likes to hang around on the walls and ceiling. Take care of him and continue ascending. You will soon reach a large vertical chamber. Thorny vines cover the walls above you. To reach the exit, you must climb the wall while avoiding the vines. Normally, you make your way to a high ledge near the cavern ceiling, which has a couple of small Boulders resting on it. From there, you would ascend along another thorn-lined passageway.

To find the frog, you should instead take a detour before ascending along that passage. Look back down on the vertical room you just ascended. Pay close attention to the walls. You should spot an opening off to one side (to your right, as you look down from the higher ledge). The opening blends in well, so you have to look closely. I spent some time scouring the cave, looking everywhere for the frog, and I still missed noticing it a few times.

Once you identify the opening, glide down to it. You’ll find it leads to a dead-end chamber. Some thorns block access. To safely proceed, burn the thorns out of your way by firing a flaming arrow. Then defeat the frog and grab your loot. There also is a mineral deposit in this chamber that you can destroy with a stone weapon.
