Hardest levels in Geometry Dash, ranked

Ready to really get that blood boiling?

Geometry Dash is known far and wide for the difficulty of its levels, and the incredible reaction times needed to clear the harder ones. If you’re up for a challenge, then you’ll need to know the most difficult ones.

The hardest classic Geometry Dash Levels, ranked

Here are all of the hardest levels that you’ll find in Geometry Dash. Starting with the hardest, we’ll make our way to the easiest.

I have devised this ranking from my own experience with the game and from community opinion. However, there’s no better way to see which one is the hardest than trying them out yourself, if you can handle it.

Deadlocked

Being an Extreme Demon level, Deadlocked is undoubtedly the most difficult level in Geometry Dash. It requires 30 Secret Coins to unlock, which is a fair warning of its difficulty. It introduces a lot of new elements on top of being extremely difficult, so you’ll be hitting practice mode often to get the hang of how to beat this insanity.

Clubstep

Clubstep only requires 10 secret Coins to unlock it, although this doesn’t make it the easiest of the locked levels. Being a Demon level, alongside deceptive obstacles, you’ll be facing tight maneuvers with little reaction time. You’ll need practice sessions for your practice sessions. It’s the first Demon Level in the level selection, although that should not undermine its difficulty.

Theory of Everything 2

Another Demon difficulty level, Theory of Everything 2 requires 20 Secret Coins to unlock. Needless to say, it is much harder than its predecessor, which doesn’t even make it on this list. If you like invisible and phasing obstacles and slopes, then thankfully, this level has a whole bunch of them.

Dash

Currently the latest level in Geometry Dash, it utilizes a whole array of new features and mechanics in line with the latest overhaul of the game’s mechanics and systems. It looks incredible and highly amusing, although it retains the difficulty you’d expect from an Insane difficulty level. It also introduces the Swing, although it doesn’t do anything particularly clever with it due to its nature.

Fingerdash

I remember when Fingerdash came out. it continued the aesthetic of Geometrical Dominator, which is a strange 2.5D perspective that simply looks awesome. It introduces the Fingerdash mechanic, which has been a very welcome mechanic for level creators. Alongside being hard, I find this level rather fun.

Electrodynamix

Electrodynamix steps up the difficulty with briefly visible obstacles and platforms right from the get-go. It becomes a memory game as well as a difficult level with plenty of crunch moments. You may need to take a breather every now and then. It also introduces speed portals and only gets harder as you get closer to the end.

Clutterfunk

Clutterfunk is the second Insane difficulty level you’ll come across, and yet it’s one of the more difficult ones. Introducing size portals and buzz saws, you’ll need great reaction times to bypass the many size and gravity changes you’ll be facing. The small size segments are truly challenging for those playing them for the first time.

Hexagon Force

Hexagon Force is difficult for several reasons. Spikes are briefly visible, and you may find the aesthetics very distracting. Slopes will be changing the way your vehicles interact with the platforms, meaning your muscle memory will be challenged as you make minor mistakes. Getting used to these slopes isn’t too hard, though.

Electroman Adventures

Electroman Adventures briefly introduces blocks that you can break as you move through them, although nothing interesting is done with this mechanic. They’re obvious and unavoidable, providing no extra difficulty. The level itself is, naturally, difficult, even if it doesn’t add anything new.

Geometrical Dominator

Geometrical Dominator is only a Hard difficulty level, although, in my humble opinion, it is the coolest and one of the best. Introducing the 2.5D perspective, you may be thrown by the new aesthetics that Geometry Dash throws at you. This level makes great use of the Robot, which is my favorite vehicle by far.

Tips for dealing with these insane levels

There is no real advice I can give for completing these levels in Geometry Dash, as you will simply have to master the timings of each one. But follow this general advice to make your time easier and keep your sanity intact:

  • Use the practice mode. Please don’t bang your head against the wall over and over again. Just use the practice mode to repeat certain sections over and over and over again. This will dramatically reduce the attempts needed to complete these levels, and you’ll be able to figure out what’s going on in the sections that move too quickly.
  • Take breaks. If my time with this game has proven anything, it’s that your muscle memory will develop as long as you take breaks. Taking a breather for a couple of hours or the rest of the day will allow your muscle memory to develop, meaning that you’ll be breezing through parts of the game that you found difficult before.
  • Keep your cool. Do whatever you must to keep your cool when playing. The last thing you want is a hole in your monitor or to have your phone snapped in half. This is supposed to be a fun and challenging game, not some sort of mental punishment. So, take it easy.

The hardest community Geometry Dash Levels

Due to the insane volume of user-created levels, and all of the new ones added every day, it’s difficult to curate a complete and up-to-date list of objectively the hardest community levels in Geometry Dash. So, the following list will instead be curated from my experience and community discourse.

These levels will be notoriously difficult, so even as the game updates and new ones are added, these will still stand firm as some of the hardest community levels.

Again, you’ll only really know if you give them a go. If you’re good enough.
