A 10-minute narrated walkthrough video has been released, showing how a typical mission in Hard West might go down.

In this case, the player’s band of gunslingers are out to rob an unsuspecting bank. The problem is that the bank is defended by supernatural beings as well as humans; once the alarm is raised, a band of demonic gunslingers are going to appear and raise some hell. How does it work out? You can find out in the video below.

Hard West is a Weird West turn-based tactical game, where supernatural monsters and unspeakable cults exist alongside cowboys, bandits, and saloons. Judging by this video, it plays out a lot like XCOM, only with combat being even more brutal. Characters go down with one or two shots, so positioning and planning are paramount if you want to make it through a mission without getting a few extra holes in your chest.
