PC versions of this year’s Halo: The Master Chief Collection or 2015’s Halo 5: Guardians will not happen right away, according to 343 Industries. “Right now we are focused on Xbox One,” 343 Industries general manager Bonnie Ross told Eurogamer.
Halo: Combat Evolved came to PC in 2003, and Halo 2 came to PC in 2007 also this year, 343 Industries released Halo: Spartan Assault on Steam. The center of attention for Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Halo 5: Guardians is on Xbox One, Ross said. “We’re listening to the PC fans, but right now this is all focused on Xbox One,” she said.
“We are dedicated to bringing a full and fun experience to Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Xbox One, providing you with dedicated servers, a unified interface, increased visual fidelity, and gameplay running at 60fps,” the studio said in a post on Halo Waypoint. “We do not have any plans to bring the game to Xbox 360 as the game size, enhanced features, and technical specifications simply can’t support it.”
