Halo Infinite concept art promises a big release for 2020

New peek at Halo Infinite, anyone?
This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

343 Industries is pretty much done for the year, kicking back for a nice holiday off. Before it departs, however, it does have some news to share with its Halo community. First off, as a nice little bonus to its fans, it’s offering double XP through the remainder of 2019. That means for both Halo 5: Guardians and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, including all its collective games. (Yes, that also means Reach.) Beyond that, we’ve also got new Halo Infinite concept art!

Diving into new Halo Infinite concept art

First up is this image, which appears to take place in some kind of temple. We’re not sure what’s happening here just yet, but we’ll find out before long.

Also, this may be a familiar sight to long-time Halo fans, showing a decrepit locale that’s been featured in previous games.

On top of that, the team confirmed the platforms for Halo Infinite, which will include Windows PC as well as Xbox consoles. It will appear sometime in holiday 2020, though a specific release window isn’t available just yet. Finally, it will support split-screen two-player, as well as LAN support and an array of customization along the lines of Halo: Reach.

Studio head Bonnie Ross then took over to offer a few kind words to both the team and the community: “I wanted to take a moment to thank the Halo community for all of your support and engagement over the last year – your passion, energy, and feedback constantly reminds us of how important this franchise and universe is to all of us, and it fuels our efforts across everything we do.”

She also provided a quick update on what lies ahead for 2020, thanking the team at 343 Industries. Ross promises that “a HUGE 2020” is in store for die-hard Halo fans and newbies alike. Now if we could just get a little more Halo Infinite to chew on. Ah, well — next year.
