To continue moving forward and upgrade your build to survive the Night, you will have to purchase incantations and seek the help of the Fates. We will need some tools to do so, though, so pay attention: Here is how to get all the Silver Pool tools and complete the Tools of the Unseen quest in Hades 2.
How to complete Tools of the Unseen quest in Hades 2
Tools of the Unseen is one of the many side quests you get during your Nights in Hades 2. The nature of these side quests is to guide you through the game’s content and it serves as a nice to-do list as well. In this case, to complete the Tools of the Unseen quest, you will have to unlock all Silver Pool tools available in the game. Now, that sounds like an immense feat, but it is not… for the most part.
There are a total of four different tools you can use to collect reagents so you can use them for your incantations. They will unlock progressively as you collect the necessary resources to craft them. Out of the four, three of them can be unlocked quite early in your playthrough, with one requiring you to travel to the surface.
All Hades 2 tools
Let’s take a look at each of these Silver Pool tools and what materials you need to craft them in Hades 2.
Silver Pool Tool | Materials Needed |
---|---|
Crescent Pick | 1x Ash: Collected as encounter reward. |
Tablet of Peace | 5x Silver: Use Crescent Pick to mine Silver in Erebus. 5x Psyche: Collected as encounter reward. |
Silver Spade | 10x Silver: Use Crescent Pick to mine Silver in Erebus. |
Rod of Fishing | 1x Bronze: Use Crescent Pick to mine Bronze at the City of Ephyra, on the surface. 1x Fate Fabric: Purchase it from the Wretched Broker. |
As you can see, by exploring the Depths and using your Crescent Pick, you will be able to unlock all tools except for the Rod of Fishing. Progress through the game naturally — and mine silver — and you will eventually be able to open the way to the surface where you will have to mine some Bronze ore.
Depending on your skill, you might have to play for quite a while to get to that point, but death is just another step toward victory. Besides, you technically do not die, but teleport back, so that’s that. If you’re struggling, make sure you know all the ways to gain more lives in Hades 2.
