H1Z1 patch on Thursday with female models but server wipe planned

This week’s update for H1Z1 is going to be sizeable according to Daybreak.

Daybreak has already teased the long overdue female models and this Thursday (30 April) a large patch will be deployed with this new addition. Players will also be able to buy, sell and trade items on the Steam Marketplace, new crafting elements, updated UI and more. The complete list of changes are not yet known but they are expected to be revealed in the patch notes tomorrow (29 April) at some point in the day.

When the female character models go live after the patch deploys, players will be able to select between the current male character or the new female character. All the wearables in the game have a been tweaked to fit either character models so there’s no need to worry about loose clothing if you choose a female character.

This week Daybreak revealed their new logo and website and to celebrate they are granting all players a Daybreak Logo shirt so keep an eye out for that appearing.

That’s the good news. The bad news is there will be a full player and server wipe for this update because of its size and content changes. All player items and player built structures will be wiped and gone forever and it’s time to start over again.
