Not quite sure whether this is because it’s E3 and there’s a tonne of Total War: Rome 2 screens and info coming out, or if it’s just a happy coincidence, but: if you haven’t picked up the original Rome: Total War then, for the next 14 hours, it’s a mere £1. Or $1. Or €1. Or… well, look: whatever currency you have, it’s probably around one of them. And for once, I’m not going to complain about exchange rates.

Steam’s offering the Rome: Total War Gold Edition (which includes the Barbarian Invasion expansion) for a mere one unit of currency. Considering that Rome: Total War is a rather phenomenal game, and that Total War: Rome 2 excitement is starting to peak, this is the perfect time to grab it if you haven’t already done so.

You can grab it over here until 6pm UK time on 12 July.

When not writing about games, Tim can occasionally be found speedrunning terrible ones, making people angry in Dota 2, or playing something obscure and random. He's also weirdly proud of his status as (probably) the Isle of Man's only professional games journalist.
