Games at Google branded as a ‘new business’ by the search engine provider.
It seems that everyone is looking for a little slice of the videogame pie nowadays. Google are the latest company to properly declare genuine interest in the sector, placing a Job Ad for a Product Manager to “design strategies for game distribution and discovery, player identity, game mechanics, and more” for ‘Game at Google’.
The job spec moves on to mention intergration with Google’s social aspects and working closely with game developers.
“You will be significantly influencing Google’s social platform as you work directly with a critical set of early adopters, game developers,” the ad reads. “Interesting and impactful decisions involving social gaming, privacy, virality, business, and technical APIs await you and the strong, passionate team of gamers you will work with.”
