GOG’s 2013 Winter sale has begun, offering a whole host of games for ridiculous discounts every single day – but the big news is that the Fallout series is completely free for the first 48 hours.

Today’s daily deals will let dungeon masters grab Ultima Underworld 1 & 2 for $1.99 and Legend of Grimrock for $4.99; fans of horror can nab Outlast for $6.66 or Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs for $9.99; and old-school shooter types can play with their Wang in Shadow Warrior for $9.99 or stop the Rise of the Triad for $4.99, amongst other things.

But maybe money’s a little tight. Welp, Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel are all completely free for 48 hours. Being that Fallout and Fallout 2 are two of the best RPGs there are, and Fallout Tactics is quite an entertaining little tactical strategy game, there is absolutely no reason not to pick these up right now. Except that GOG is crashing due to the popularity, obviously.

Have a gander at the main sale page here, assuming it’s back up by the time you read this.
