Why does Genshin Impact have no Halloween content?

Genshin Impact is well known for releasing a lot of exciting events throughout the year. We have also seen the game celebrating a lot of in-real-life occasions in the past. But, the game has not celebrated Halloween since its release in 2020. This brings one common question to everyone’s mind, “Why does Genshin Impact have no Halloween event?”

Since the game’s release in 2020, the developer HoYoverse has made it clear that they will not be adding any spooky content to the game. The developer has been following the same policy for every of its other games as well. However, if we dive into the deep, the developers are not to be blamed for such a decision. Apparently, such a decision by HoYoverse is taken due to the strict laws related to video games in China. These regulations prohibit games from adding any violent or gore content in the game. This is also a reason why we don’t see blood and corpses in Genshin Impact.

Although there are reasons behind HoYoverse’s decision regarding Halloween events, many fans have expressed their dismay since 2020. Every year during the Halloween season, we can see people posting on Reddit forums asking for something to be included in Genshin Impact. We have seen many players posting concept art and wondering how well a Halloween-themed event would have worked for Genshin Impact. However, judging from the current situation, it is very unlikely that HoYoverse will add anything related to Halloween in the coming years as well.

Genshin Impact is now available on PC, mobile, and console platforms. Download the game from its official website.
