Genshin Impact: Zhongli’s best weapon – Staff of Homa

Let’s talk about the best weapons for Zhongli in Genshin Impact.

Staff of Homa (crit damage) – Although the Staff of Homa is a 5-star weapon from Genshin Impact‘s gacha/wishes, we can clearly see that it’s the best-in-slot choice for Zhongli. A key reason for this is due to the “Reckless Cinnabar” perk which adds +20% HP, as well as an ATK bonus based on 0.8% of the max HP. Should Zhongli’s health go below 50%, then this ATK bonus is increased by an additional 1% of his max HP. As you can guess by now, Zhongli’s health plays an important factor as it relates to his damage-dealing capabilities. I’ll explain more later.

Primordial Jade Winged-Spear (crit rate) – The Primordial Jade Winged-Spear is another 5-star weapon, implying that it’s stronger than most other 4-star options. However, it still pales in comparison to the Staff of Homa. Likewise, if you have Xiao, then the Primordial Jade Winged-Spear is significantly better for him.

Crescent Pike (physical damage bonus) or Prototype Grudge/Prototype Starglitter (energy recharge) – These two weapons are free-to-play options that you can forge via the blacksmith. Sadly, I wouldn’t consider them as top-tier picks for Zhongli. The Crescent Pike provides physical damage, making it better for Xiangling. It could be viable for Zhongli, but only if he plays a main DPS role (which is unlikely depending on your setup). The Prototype Grudge/Starglitter, meanwhile, is a below-average substitute. Although it increases Zhongli’s energy recharge rate (to speed up the charging of his ult/burst), the proc only boosts his normal and charged attacks.

Deathmatch (crit rate) – A better 4-star option for Zhongli is the Deathmatch. Sadly, this isn’t a purely free-to-play choice since you need to grab the premium version of the Battle Pass. This weapon grants bonuses to ATK and DEF when enemies are nearby.

Blackcliff Pole (crit damage) – Finally, there’s the Blackcliff Pole which can be obtained from Paimon’s Shop. The weapon grants ATK buffs whenever Zhongli defeats an enemy. Then again, you’ll need to amass 24x Starglitter for this. The currency is obtained when you get duplicates from wishes.
