Genshin Impact Yae Miko guide – Talent priorities and passives

Recommended Videos

Let’s talk about Yae Miko’s build in Genshin Impact based on her talent priorities and passives.

Normal Attack: Spiritfox Sin Eater – This improves Yae Miko’s normal, charged, and plunging attacks.

Elemental Skill: Yakan Invocation Sesshou Sakura – Think of this skill as a turret, beacon, or lightning rod. It has three charges, allowing you to place these three of these floating fox blades (Yae Miko will even move toward a direction if you’re pressing that key, or backward if you’re not pressing anything). The duration (14 seconds) and cooldown (four seconds) of each object is independent of others, so you’re technically spamming the button.

If three of these rods are near each other, then their level will increase and deal more damage. They’ll then periodically strike nearby foes with lightning.

Elemental Burst: Great Secret Art Tenko Kenshin – The Sesshou Sakura will transform and strike the area with thunderbolts. Naturally, the more Sesshou Sakura you have on the ground, the more bolts and the higher the overall damage. There are two damage instances here, with the first being the initial unsealing and the second with the actual thunderbolt sequence (with higher scaling too).

Passive Talents

  • Meditations of a Yako – +25% chance to get an extra regional character talent material when crafting.
  • The Shrine’s Sacred Shade – When casting her burst, each elemental skill turret destroyed resets the cooldown of one charge of her elemental skill.
  • Enlightened Blessing – Every point of elemental mastery that Yae Miko has will increase her elemental skill’s damage by 0.15%.

Note: Yae Miko’s talents require Light booklets from the Violet Court (Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday), as well as Nobushi Samurai handguards. At higher levels, she needs The Meaning of Aeons dropped by the Guardian of Eternity (the new Raiden Shogun weekly boss).

Constellations

  • C1: Yakan Offering – When casting her burst, Yae Miko gains +8 energy for herself.
  • C2: Fox’s Mooncall – Sesshou Sakura turrets start at level 2 when they spawn, and they’ll have a max level of 4. Their attack range is also increased by 60%.
  • C3: The Seven Glamours – +3 levels for your elemental skill; maximum level is 15.
  • C4: Sakura Channeling – When Sesshou Sakura lightning hits enemies, gain +20% Electro damage for the entire party for five seconds.
  • C5: Mischievous Teasing – +3 levels for your elemental burst; maximum level is 15.
  • C6: Forbidden Art Daisesshou – Sesshou Sakura ignore 60% of an enemy’s DEF stat.

Naturally, trying to get constellations on a 5-star character is ridiculously expensive. However, if you do want to splurge, you’re looking at C2 as an ideal target for a decent DPS increase. All right, let’s go to the next part of our Genshin Impact Yae Miko guide to talk about the best weapon options for her.
