Windtrace event rewards: Windtrace Coins and the scoring system
Let’s talk about the stuff that you can get during Genshin Impact‘s Windtrace event.
Open the event panel and check the rewards screen to see two tabs:
- Windtrace Coin reward – This has items like XP booklets, talent booklets, gold, and primogems. You’ll be able to grab these once you’ve reached a Windtrace Coin threshold (more on this concept in a while).
- Windtrace Challenges reward – Then, there’s this second tab that has the challenges or achievements. You’ll mostly receive gold here. You can see the challenges in the image below.
Okay, so, what about the Windtrace Coins? Well, you’ll obtain more depending on the scoring system. If you click on game preview -> detailed rules, you’ll see a list of the actions, tasks, or achievements that you can do during a match. In turn, you’ll receive Windtrace Coins once you’ve finished a game.
I’ve listed a few examples of achievements that can net you 100 Windtrace Coins after a match:
- Achieving a victory
- “Final Countdown” – As a Hunter, capture all Rebels within two minutes.
- “Cleanup Time” – As a Hunter, capture all Rebels before the round ends.
- “Last Spark” – As a Rebel, be the sole escapee in a match.
- “In Broad Daylight” – As a Rebel, get marked by the Sensor Aura three times but still achieve victory without getting captured.
- “Fight to the Finish” – As a Rebel, achieve victory without getting captured.
Those are just the ones that provide 100 coins. Many others give you one, 50, or 80 coins. For instance, you could receive an extra coin per second that you’re free (as a Rebel), or a coin for every second that remains on the timer after you’ve found your targets (if you’re the Hunter).
Note: For today, you can only hold up to 1,200 Windtrace Coins. Each succeeding day, this cap increases by 600. By the end of the event, you’ll want to have amassed 4,800 Windtrace Coins in total to receive the Peekaboo name card.
Anyway, it’s time to talk about the Windward Arts and tips when playing as a Rebel. Let’s go to the next part of our guide.
