Now that we’ve entered the second phase of Genshin Impact‘s Midsummer Island Adventure, there’s a new challenge that you can undertake in the Golden Apple Archipelago. It entails sailing with the Waverider and gliding via wind currents to collect Wavesplitter Insignias. Here’s our guide to help you with the Whirlpool off to Starboard, Full Speed Ahead challenge in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact: Whirlpool off to Starboard, Full Speed Ahead challenge guide
Only one course/track is available today and it’s called “Skipper’s Savvy.” An additional five will be unlocked, one for every subsequent daily reset.
Note: The challenge marker for “Skipper’s Savvy” is fairly close to a secret sidequest and two Echoing Conch locations.
Anyway, the objective of this challenge is to finish your run within the time limit. Initially, you’ll use the Waverider to grab the Wavesplitter Insignias (large golden coins).
There are also smaller coins that are present, but these are mostly to guide you along the way while providing a few points. Be aware of the light green rings that can boost the Waverider’s stamina for your speed burst. Likewise, watch out for any whirlpools that can drag the ship and slow you down.
Eventually, you’ll encounter a wind current. Hold the spacebar to jump and glide from your boat. Your character will then use the additional wind currents to collect more coins all the way to the finish line.
You’ll receive a score at the end of your run. That’s dependent on how quickly you finished the run and how many coins/insignias you’ve obtained. Try to aim for the gold medal in each course (i.e., 30,000 points). You’ll receive rewards such as mora, talent booklets, and hero’s wit booklets.
Anyway, be sure to check back each daily reset to see the new courses/tracks that get unlocked. Good luck.
