Genshin Impact Version 1.5 will release this month with new content

New adventures on the horizon.

Genshin Impact is one of those games that just keeps on trucking. It released last year to wild success, and the developers at miHoYo have not rested on their laurels since then. New content continues to be added to the game, and one of the biggest is about to drop pretty soon. So, let’s go over what Genshin Impact Version 1.5 is bringing to the game when it releases later this month.

The biggest addition comes in the form of the Serenitea Pot. Using this item you will gain access to your own personal pocket dimension. This is where you can build a house, populate the area with animals, and customize it just how you like it. There will be different types of areas available that you can build in, and fellow players can visit each others homes as well.

New Hangout events are also being added. You will be able to continue Zhongli’s story quest now, and you can interact more with Noelle and Diona. Of course, it wouldn’t be an update without new characters. And Genshin Impact Version 1.5 has two new additions to the game’s roster. Eula is called the “Spindrift Knight,” and is the Captain of the Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance Company. She is a five-star character who wields a claymore and has access to Cryo magic. Eula excels in dealing area of effect damage and can increase her resistance to interruption with her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst.

Fire and Ice

The second new addition is a four star Pyro user named Yanfei. She is a half-human, half-illuminated beast who appears to be a lawyer, or is at least studying to be one. Since two new allies are being added, it only makes sense that two new enemies join the fray as well. The first is a new Trounce Domain opponent, Azhdaha, also known as the “Lord of Vishaps.” He will provide rare rewards once per week to any party that can conquer him. Also, in Dragonspine, the Cryo Hypostasis will be added as a new boss enemy. Just like other Hypostasis enemies, memorize its pattern and take it down for lots of rare resources, including character level-up items.

The last few changes are a little more minor, but still very helpful for players. The cost of claiming the first three Trounce Domain rewards per week has now been cut in half. Also, the amount of companionship EXP earned in co-op mode has been doubled. This should make it much easier for veteran players to get the most out of their time. Last, but certainly not least, we got a sneak preview at the next big area coming to the game, Inazuma, in the form of concept art. The area looks attractive, boasting a feudal Japan aesthetic. We don’t know when this new area will be available yet, but it will be exciting to explore fresh lands.

Genshin Impact Version 1.5, titled “Beneath the Light of Jadeite,” will release on April 28. The game is free to download and you can grab it from the official site.
