Geo characters: Geo Traveler or Zhongli

Geo reactions are important to make quick work of mobs that are shielded by giant rocks.

Although every Geo character can help in this regard, the Geo Traveler trumps all of them. This is primarily due to the elemental skill. These barrels can easily block an entire pathway, making it impossible for enemies to cross.

You can have up to three barrels at any point in time (though they’ll also disappear after a few seconds). Ideally, you’ll want to drop them in a straight line to block monsters from escaping, turning sections of the map into chokepoints. You could place these in front of an escape point or right after an area with towers. Hostiles get ripped apart while being unable to run away.

Note 1: If one player has Lumine and the other has Aether, you can have two Travelers. If both are Geo-based, the “three barrels max” rule still applies. Additional ones will delete those spawned by your teammate and vice versa.

Note 2: I wouldn’t really go with another Geo character since the Geo Traveler already does wonders. If you really don’t want to use the Geo Traveler, then Zhongli is your next best option. Sadly, the pillar isn’t as effective when trying to block mobs.
