From Outer Lands is a sidequest that you can obtain in Genshin Impact now that we’ve reached the second act of the Midsummer Island Adventure. It involves finding the two halves of a shipwreck and looking for its lost cargo. Here’s our Genshin Impact guide to help you complete From Outer Lands and the two shipwreck locations.

Genshin Impact: From Outer Lands sidequest guide – Finding the shipwreck locations
There are two shipwrecks in the Golden Apple Archipelago region (seen in the image below). If you interact with these, you can pick up the wooden planks to receive From Outer Lands in your quest log. It doesn’t matter which one you go to first since you’ll be told to look for the other half of the ship:
- One shipwreck is found west of Twinning Isle at the top of the rock formation.
- The other half is on the island south of Twinning Isle. There’s a “banana-shaped” island near it.
Note: Both locations have Echoing Conches for Barbara’s swimsuit.
After grabbing both planks, Paimon will tell you that the people on these ships were from Inazuma. They somehow got lost and shipwrecked in the Golden Apple Archipelago many years ago. Unfortunately, their cargo sunk, but there’s a way for you to find it.
The area between the two shipwrecks will then get marked. Your objective now is to interact with the cargo and wreckage at sea. There are three in this area and the third one you examine will always be the correct one.
Once you examine the third spot, a sentry bot will appear. Use the Waverider’s projectiles to destroy it.
This will spawn a treasure chest. Open it and you’ll complete Genshin Impact‘s From Outer Lands sidequest.
Oh, and before I forget, you can learn more about the story of the seafarers from Inazuma by discovering all the murals in the Golden Apple Archipelago. It’s part of a sidequest called “The Other Side of Isle and Sea.”
