There’s a new event in Genshin Impact that should help players amass more materials to level up talents. The Overflowing Mastery event grants a 2x bonus for two Abyssal Domains: Forsaken Rift and Taishan Mansion, but only if you use original resin to claim your rewards. You should be able to do this thrice each day until the counter resets. In any case, here’s our guide to help you with the Overflowing Mastery event in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact: Overflowing Mastery event guide
As mentioned earlier, the Overflowing Mastery event in Genshin Impact only affects two Abyssal Domains. The Forsaken Rift in Mondstadt grants Freedom, Resistance, and Ballad booklets. Meanwhile, the Taishan Mansion in Liyue awards Prosperity, Diligence, and Gold booklets.
When you click on the domain, you’ll see a “2x bonus” sign notifying you that you’ll get double the drops if you spend original resign (so, technically, it’s like you spent condensed resin instead).
For the highest encounter level, the Forsaken Rift domain has you fighting against several large Cryo Slimes and Cryo Abyss Mages. Make sure you bring a Pyro character along. There’s also a Ley Line Disorder that makes you consume double the stamina, making characters tire easily. Likewise, red circles on the ground denote that icicles will drop, causing a minor annoyance.
Meanwhile, the Taishan Mansion domain only has four opponents. The first wave has 2x Blazing Axe Mitachurls and the second have has 2x Fatui Assassins. These mobs hit hard, and there’s also a Ley Line Disorder that continuously damages your characters with Pyro. A healer such as Barbara should be able to clear this debuff momentarily.
Note: Genshin Impact‘s Overflowing Mastery event runs from May 31 until June 7. Since you only have three opportunities each day to get double the rewards, my suggestion would be to do the Forsaken Rift on Monday and Thursday, and Taishan Mansion on Tuesday and Friday. That’s because Genshin Impact‘s version 1.6 update will have Kazuha (who’s rumored to require Diligence booklets), as well as a Klee banner rerun (she requires Freedom booklets).
Genshin Impact is available via its official website. For more information, check out our guides and features hub, as well as our version 1.5 overview.
