Genshin Impact: Moonlight Merriment and Moonlight Seeker guide – Moonchase Charms and Mystmoon Chests in Huaguang Stone Forest

After finishing the Moonlight Merriment starter quest, you’ll need to talk to an NPC named Linyang (she’s found in Liyue Harbor’s marketplace). You should see a dialogue option regarding charms and chests. If you choose this, the world map will appear. You’ll notice several icons in the Huaguang Stone Forest area. These refer to the Mystmoon Chests and Moonchase Charms that we can obtain.

Here’s the kicker: Linyang doesn’t actually show you all of these locations. She does, however, tell you that she might reveal more in each succeeding daily reset.

In any case, make your way to Huaguang Stone Forest and start checking the area. The ones revealed on the world map will readily appear. But, others are still around. You just need to check more closely or rely on the minimap (they’ll pop up if you’re close enough).

Mystmoon Chests contain various loot, including primogems, mora, artifacts, and materials. It’s possible that they’re guarded by mobs that you need to defeat first.

Moonchase Charms, meanwhile, are more akin to anemoculi/geoculi/electroculi. They can float close to the ground or they can be higher up in the air.

Since this is the Huaguang Stone Forest that we’re talking about, make sure that you’re also checking the peaks, mountain paths, and the spaces in between these. Try to use the wind currents to float and glide up as well.

For each Mystmoon Chest and Moonchase Charm that you find, you’ll gain a bit of progression when you check the Moonlight Seeker on the event tab. Every 25% threshold nets you rewards like mora and weapon ascension materials, as well as Festive Fever points.

You definitely want to hit 100% so you can pick up the Luxurious Sea-Lord claymore. Its refinement material, though, comes from the Trail of Delicacies activity.
