The Luxurious Sea-Lord is a new 4-star claymore that you can have thanks to the version 2.1 update. It does have some decent quirks, including one of the most ridiculous procs that you’ll ever see in the game. Here’s our guide to help you obtain the Luxurious Sea-Lord and the Emperor’s Balsam refinement material during the Moonlight Merriment event in Genshin Impact.
Note: For more information about the game, check out our Genshin Impact guides and features hub, as well as our version 2.1 overview. Likewise, you can take a look at our main guide for the Moonlight Merriment event in Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact: Moonlight Merriment event – How to obtain the Luxurious Sea-Lord and Emperor’s Balsam refinement material
To obtain the Luxurious Sea-Lord claymore in Genshin Impact, all you need to do is partake in the Moonlight Merriment’s Moonlight Seeker activity. Specifically, you’ll want to explore the Huaguang Stone Forest area so you can find all the Mystmoon Chests and Moonchase Charms. To check your progress bar, just open the event panel. If you manage to reach 100% collection progress, you’ll receive the weapon.
As for the Emperor’s Balsam refinement material, we currently know of one source: the final challenge in the Trail of Delicacies (Path of the Stalwart Stone). In it, you’ll fight several Ruin Guards and their Hilichurl allies. If you manage to beat your foes, just check the event panel to pick up your reward.
Note: Genshin Impact‘s Moonlight Merriment event has two additional stages: the Path of Gentle Breezes (Mondstadt) and the Path of Austere Snow (Dragonspine). These stages will also have similar activities, and it’s possible that additional refinement materials will be up for grabs. We’ll learn more in the coming days once these stages are live.
Is the Luxurious Sea-Lord any good?
The Luxurious Sea-Lord has ATK% as a sub-stat, so that’s pretty decent. Likewise, it has the Oceanic Victory perk. It provides +12% elemental burst damage and, when the elemental burst hits opponents, you’ll have a 100% chance to summon a titanic tuna that deals 100% of your ATK as AoE damage. This effect can occur every 15 seconds.
We’re not kidding. You read that right. This proc will have a gigantic fish slam down on opponents. But, do take note that this is only when your burst manages to hit enemies. Characters with shorter burst cooldowns and ATK% focus (i.e., Diluc and Razor) will likely benefit more from this weapon by maximizing its proc.
