Genshin Impact: Legend of the Vagabond Sword (Day 4) – Primo Geovishap
You’ll notice a lot of similarities with the first encounter against the Primo Geovishap in Genshin Impact‘s Legend of the Vagabond Sword event. For instance, the characters with a +20% damage bonus for this battle are Kazuha, Zhongli, Noelle, and Diona. Still, there are a few key differences when it comes to the modifiers and flairs that you can select:
- +15% ATK, but ATK is decreased if you take damage.
- Characters unleash AoE shockwaves when sprinting, but damage taken after sprinting is also increased.
- +50% Cryo and Electro resistances for the boss.
- +100% damage taken from Primordial Shower if characters are protected by a shield.
It’s fairly easy to keep your ATK as high as possible since the Primo Geovishap’s abilities are easily telegraphed. However, you might need to fiddle around a bit compared to the first encounter, especially due to the boss’ selectable elemental resistances. Likewise, characters will lose a chunk of HP from the Primordial Shower ultimate even while shielded. Then again, mitigating the damage is better than outright death, and you can still use elemental burst animations to negate it completely.
For my clear, I just used Ganyu, Zhongli, Albedo, and Qiqi. I opted for only 4,450 points (a bit higher than the bare minimum of 4,250 for each challenge). Naturally, I couldn’t pick the boss’ Cryo resistance flair since Ganyu was my main DPS. As for Zhongli and Albedo, they were just there for the shields and extra passive damage from procs. They also tanked any possible hits from the boss with their HP/defense and bursts.
As usual, do watch out for the Primo Geovishap’s scales. If you picked the modifier that allows these objects to continuously explode, they’ll be all over the arena. You could find yourself taking unnecessary damage or with no other spot to move to due to the cramped space. Lastly, remember that the boss tends to change its elemental type often.
