Genshin Impact –  Khaj-Nisut temple puzzles guide

Let’s discuss the puzzles inside the temple of Khaj-Nisut.

Embers and switches

You can ride the elevator to the top yet, so you’ll have to jump down to the main puzzle area. Here’s the gist:

• Three switches/tomes need to be activated. To do that, you’ll have to remove their seals by using the embers.
• Each ember follows a predetermined path, with rooms that also have some fairly straightforward puzzles (i.e., invisible walls or beams).
• Tag/go near the embers when necessary until they reach the large torches.

Prism of Khaj-Nisut

After you’re done with the tasks, go near the mechanism to activate it. This will allow you to reach the higher floor. There, you’ll find an object called the Prism of Khaj-Nisut. It allows you to switch the color and operate the device to move platforms.

Since our goal here is to have the beams fire in a continuous stream around this section, you don’t have to touch the pedestals at all. Instead, just switch the Prism so it turns blue. Then, operate it to lift a couple of platforms.

Flee Khaj-Nisut

Continue all the way to the top where you’ll find the throne room. Samail will return, but Jebrael tricks him into succumbing to an eternal sleep. You will need to battle a dozen Eremites and Fatui, though.

After beating them, a strange entity begins covering the temple in a shroud of darkness. Make a run for it by going back the way you came. Beware because some portions are blocked off by invisible walls now.

Once you make it back outside, the group will remark that the entity is attempting to escape. Jebrael then decides to sacrifice himself, and he ends up stuck in the Eternal Dreamland with Samail.

You’ll find yourself back in Aaru Village, with everyone parting ways and Jeht in tears. This concludes the Golden Slumber questline in Genshin Impact.
