I genuinely love it when games have a built-in photo mode feature. Genshin Impact, at least initially, had one that was fairly barebones. Thankfully, the game has a gadget known as the Kamera. Here’s our guide to help you out.
Note: For more information, check out our Genshin Impact guides and features hub. Likewise, please be reminded that this gadget is different from the Kurious Kamera/Five Flushes of Fortune that’s part of update 1.3. You can learn more about that in our event mini-guide.
Genshin Impact: The Kamera gadget and photo mode
To obtain Genshin Impact‘s Kamera gadget, you’ll want to go to Liyue Harbor. Near the northern teleporter and town square, you’ll find a fella named Xu.
He’ll ask you to give photographs to two folks in the area. You’ll want to check your quest items and inspect these pictures to see which NPCs these pics are for.
The first one is Tea Master Liu Su. Just climb the staircases of the nearby pavilions to find him.
The second NPC is Granny Shan. Fast travel to the southern teleporter to reach the market. Granny Shan is just across from the other vendors.
After returning the photos, speak with Xu and he’ll give you the Kamera gadget. Open your inventory and check the gadgets tab to activate it. It’ll then be bound to the “Z” key by default.
With the Kamera gadget, you’ll be able to use a more dynamic version of Genshin Impact‘s photo mode. The Kamera lets you take photo mode screenshots while fighting, gliding, jumping, sprinting, and more.
It’ll also pause the game momentarily while disabling the HUD. However, the game’s logo will still be visible.
The key difference between this and the regular photo mode feature is that you can’t move, zoom, or pan your camera anymore. Moreover, you can’t change character poses or facial expressions. As such, you’ll want to capture those moments as is, making sure that you’ve already got the right angles prior to hitting the “Z” button.
Anyway, if you like the image from the Kamera, simply click on the save button. You’ll find the image in your installation folder -> Genshin Impact Game -> ScreenShot.
Genshin Impact is available via its official website. For more information, check out our guides and features hub.
