Genshin Impact Inazuma Archon Quest – Arrival at Ritou
Ritou is where the “outsiders” (those who aren’t citizens of Inazuma) are processed. It’s like trying to go through immigration.
Thoma, Ayaka’s attendant and ally, will meet you here. Talk to the NPCs and you’ll find out that the town is steeped in corruption and bureaucracy.
Thankfully, Thoma will smoothen things out for you.
Eventually, you’ll meet the head of the International Trade Association. He says that a man by the name of Werner has a monopoly on goods.
After a bit of back and forth, Thoma will mention that Werner isn’t even a native of Inazuma. So, go ahead and give him items from Mondstadt and Liyue to persuade him to change his mind.
You’ll then be told of a corrupt tax collector named Keijirou. The goal here is to follow the guy (i.e., walk further behind him) while he’s checking out various stalls. He’ll soon run off, so you gotta chase him without getting too close.
Note: This part is a bit iffy. If Keijirou looks around and detects you, you have a few seconds to hide before this task fails and you’re forced to repeat it. However, it’s also possible that he’ll partially detect you, then his script would fire (i.e., he’ll run off) which will also cause you to fail and repeat.
Foil Keijirou’s plans and a guard will get alerted. Once again, Thoma will smooth things over. Next, you’ll talk to the head of the Kanjou Commission who has some outlandish tasks. Fortunately, all you need to do is wait until it’s evening (1800 to 2400) so you can speak to his daughter Chisato. She’ll ask you to deliver a letter to her beloved in Inazuma City which is quite far away.
For now, your goal is to follow the transport balloon and clear out all the mobs that appear. The hostiles will include the new Nobushi bandit samurai who tend to dash and hit hard. After escorting the transport balloon to the opposite shore, Chisato will thank you for your help.
Note: The “Chisato’s Letter” sidequest is still active since you need to go to Inazuma City for this. Later, deliver the letter to Kujou Kamaji and return to Chisato to complete the sidequest. This allows you to go to the edges of Ritou Island without getting automatically scolded by a guard.
Anyway, you should now be free to explore Narukami Island. Let’s head over to the next part of our Genshin Impact Inazuma Archon Quest guide to see what you can expect.
