As mentioned earlier, you’ll be up against several sets of hostiles for each Hyakunin Ikki challenge.

Although there’s a three-minute time limit where you’ll need to obtain the highest score that you can, you actually can’t stick to the same duo for prolonged periods. That’s because, once 25 seconds have elapsed, you’ll incur a debuff that greatly diminishes your combat capabilities. For instance, the attacks of my level 90 Kazuha and Ganyu only dealt 10 points of damage when they were weakened.

As such, you’ll need to swap to the next team in the order that you selected. You can press “T” to do this.

It’s also possible to switch to the next team earlier when the action is off-cooldown. You can do this to string abilities, elemental reactions, and other setups. Of course, you could still continue to DPS foes, then immediately swap once you’re notified that your characters have been weakened. Just don’t accidentally waste your burst when your damage has been lowered.

Anyway, simply continue with the entire challenge, switching when needed and eliminating opponents as they appear. If you properly min-max your team combinations and Garyuu Arts, you could receive very high scores. Personally, I had 2,900 points at the end of my first run on extreme difficulty, and I even messed up a few times.

Speaking of points, each challenge/stage has score thresholds:

• 500 points – 70x primogems and 2x talent booklets.
• 1,000 points – 3x hero’s wit and 30,000 mora.
• 2,000 points – 6x mystic enhancement ore.

Because there will be six challenges in total in the coming days, our main goal is to reach 12,000 points in total. This will allow us to obtain the Celebration: Ikki name card.
