Genshin Impact: How to find and use Fravashi Trees

Bark up the right trees.

In the new ‘Girdle of the Sands’ area from Genshin Impact‘s 3.6 update, there are many interesting puzzles you’ll come across. One of these are the Fravashi Trees, which look like small, hollow trees. That is, until you use your Sorush Gadget to interact with them and begin the puzzle. If you’re wondering how to find and use the Fravashi Trees in Genshin Impact, continue reading this guide.

Where to find the Fravashi Trees

Fravashi Trees Map

Finding these trees can be tricky, and involves exploring this new area from the update extensively. Luckily, we’ve created a map that locates each of the 10 Fravashi Trees. Also, you probably noticed that you’ll need the Sorush Gadget to interact with these puzzles. Two of these trees also require that you progress through the ‘Khvarena of Good and Evil’ quest line, which is the one that gave you Sorush.

Once you’ve done so, find any of the Fravashi Trees located on this map and go into Sorush mode. Using the might of Khvarena by using Sorush’s ability will summon a Pari inside the hollow tree. There are a few different puzzles between the 10 Fravashi Trees, and I’ll explain how to complete them.

How to complete the Fravashi Tree puzzles

Two of the trees, number one and two on the map, will require the most amount of work to complete. These involve the Pari asking you to bring them three Udumbara Pistils each, which are found around Asipattravana Swamp. They aren’t visible like most resources, so you’ll want to look for six heart symbols along the cliffs of the swamp. Use Sorush’s ability on them and hold the activating key down. This will automatically make Sorush keep the ability going, and let you have control of yourself at the same time.

A flower will sprout from this symbol, and on the flower is the Udumbara Pistil needed. These Fravashi Trees need three, so once you’ve collected the six Udumbara Pistils, give them to the Paris. They will reward you with a chest and a Plume of Purifying Light, as all of these trees do. You can use those Plumes to feed the Amrita Pool in the Vourukasha Oasis.

Another type of puzzle with the Fravashi trees requires you to fight a small wave of enemies. The trees numbered three and four will summon enemies, but you’re probably used to Genshin Impact combat by now. Keep in mind that getting to the third one requires you to progress through the ‘Khvarena of Good and Evil’ quest line. The next puzzle you’ll see with the trees numbered five and six ask that you fly alongside the Pari. Become Sorush, and follow Pari until you arrive back at the Fravashi Tree.

The last puzzle for trees seven, eight, nine, and 10 make you collect Residual Pari Fragments. Again, activate Sorush mode, and fly around the area until you see floating green fragments. Collect the three fragments, and return to the Pari. Finding number seven also requires you to get through the ‘Khvarena of Good and Evil’ quest line.
