The Reminiscent Drift domain in Genshin Impact features the finale of the first major storyline in Sumeru and the resolution to the whole Scaramouche issue. It’s not that different from most of the other quest-related domains, but it sure has its fair share of memorable set pieces and heavy lore implications. Here’s a rundown on how to finish this domain as quickly and easily as possible.
Note: the Reminiscent Drift domain is locked behind the final part of Interlude Chapter: Act III – Inversion of Genesis. This means players will have to finish all five acts of the Sumeru questline in order to get here.
Genshin Impact – Reminiscent Drift domain walkthrough
Talk to Nahida in the Sanctuary of Surasthana to start a conversation about the Wanderer’s past. The Dendro Archon offers to help the former Fatui Harbinger regain his memories in a dream realm. Interact with the terminal, pick an anti-Fatui team, and get ready to do a little soul-searching.
The first room contains some more exposition about the Wanderer’s past life. There’s nothing much to do here, so drop down the hole in the floor and flick the switch. This will open up a wall panel, revealing the way forward. Open the chest in the room with the electrified floor and keep moving onward. Pass through the portals to begin the second stage of the domain.
The second area will have a few arrow traps as well as some Fatui Skirmishers. Deal with them as you see fit. We recommend bringing Hydro, Pyro, and Cryo characters since they can counter the elemental defenses of the enemies present in the domain. Otherwise, try to burst everything down before they can get their shields up.
After defeating every enemy in the room, break the divider screens on one side of the room to reveal another secret chest. Then, go through the newly-opened door and enter another arena. Prepare to face Electro Cicin Mage, Mirror Maidens, and Pyro Agents. Defeat them all to trigger a lengthy (and very fancy) cutscene.
How to beat the Everlasting Lord of Arcane Wisdom boss
For this fight, you’ll be locked to using the Wanderer and his new Anemo vision. There aren’t any complicated tricks or gimmicks involved with this boss, so just try not to die while you whittle away at the big mecha’s health. Keep in mind that when the Wanderer’s Elemental Skill is active, his Charged Attacks do not consume stamina. Use this to burn the boss down faster.
It’ll take a while, but just keep spamming Normal and Charged Attacks, and the mech will go down eventually. Once it’s beaten, another cutscene will play and bring the Wanderer’s story to a new beginning.
