Casket of Tomes: NPC Matches

To level up fast in Genshin Impact‘s Genius Invokation TCG, all you need to do is play and win a lot of matches. That might sound straightforward, and believe me, it is, but there are a few tidbits to consider. The first is that you’ll want to check the Casket of Tomes in your Gadgets menu. Then, click on the “Search for Player” button. It will cause several blue card icons to appear on the map. These represent the NPCs that you can take on in bouts known as Adventure Challenges.

In these matches, the NPCs will tend to use regular monster cards, so you won’t have a lot to worry about. Win these matches and you’ll receive XP. However, you should also try your best to complete optional objectives to earn bonus rewards, such as currency and other goodies. If you need more help, you can check out our guides regarding the best character cards, best support cards, and ideal decks/team comps.

Likewise, certain NPCs might also have another type of battle known as a Duel, usually available upon increasing your rank. Victories here also net you some XP, though it can be slightly difficult since your opponent will play character cards and support cards.

Note: As your rank increases, more opponents will show up in cities, and you’ll be notified on your map, too. Also, do remember that certain NPCs might not be available (i.e., they only show up at a particular time of day or they’re part of a sidequest that you need to progress further).

The Cat’s Tail: Weekly Guest Challenges, Ascension, and Bosses

Additionally, you can level up fast in Genius Invokation TCG in Genshin Impact by visiting the Cat’s Tail. Each week, there are around four guest opponents that are sitting around the tavern, including some fan favorites. Defeat them to earn more XP.

So, what exactly is the end goal whenever you rank up. Well, you can buy more stuff from Prince the Cat, the head honcho of the tavern. Similarly, you’ll earn card backs, table designs, and Match Invitation Letters (used to fight other unique characters so you can obtain their cards). There are also a couple more concepts to consider:

  • Ascension Challenges – Upon hitting certain levels/ranks, you’ll need to duel Prince in an Ascension Challenge before the remaining XP carries over.
  • Tavern Challenges – At particular levels, you may battle Prince, who’ll bring out unique villain cards, such as the Oceanid, Fatui Pyro Agent, and Mirror Maiden. Be victorious, and you’ll acquire these cards for your deck.
