Genshin Impact: Deluge of Wrathful Waters Archon Quest guide

Don't drown!

Finally, after the nightmare of exploring the Fortress of Meropide in Version 4.1 of Genshin Impact, we’re getting a new Archon Quest. We’ll get to leave the largest prison of Fontaine and hurdle straight into Fontaine’s climax. Here’s our guide on the Deluge of Wrathful Waters quest in Genshin Impact.

The quest begins at the Fortress of Meropide, requiring you to return to your dormitory. You’ll have to irritatingly traverse the prison just one more time here before returning to the dorms. Afterward, you’ll have to go and talk to a receptionist to leave. She will be on the fourth floor of the Fortress of Meropide, or the Fortress of Meropide: Administrative Area. (For easy access, you should be able to do what I did and simply jump off the railing to the next floor down.)

While checking out, a brief tremor starts, startling you, Paimon, and the receptionist. You decide to go talk to Wriothesley at his office, which is located on the same floor.

Wriothesley assures you and Paimon that the issue is from the surface, and not of a huge concern. Relenting, you decide to bid Wriothesley farewell and head to the surface. I was sick and tired of exploring this prison, so I’m excited to say you’ll be back at the Palais Mermonia next to have a little chat with Neuvillette. Head to the following location to continue the quest:

Neuvillette reveals that the source of the tremors was due to the water levels rising near Poisson. Realizing that Navia is there, you and Paimon decide to check up on her. There’s a Teleport Waypoint right at where the next quest location is, found here:

As you arrive, you notice all the buildings located here are now in a state of disarray. You’ll see some survivors with some pretty grave injuries, and you’ll also notice that some citizens have straight-up dissolved as well, thanks to the water. Ouch. Oh well. We’ll still need to look out for Navia, so keep following the quest markers.

Spoiler alert: She’s alright. After talking to Navia, you’ll earn the achievement The Gulls Once Wept and earn five Primogems. After talking to Navia, you’ll have to visit a nearby cemetery. The quickest route is to head to the following Teleport Waypoint and walk to the quest location.

After talking to Navia, the quest will conclude, and you’ll get to move on to the next part of the Archon Quest, Meeting is Also Parting. You’ll earn the following rewards for completing this quest: 875 Adventure EXP, x38,100 Mora, x4 Hero’s Wit, and x7 Mystic Enhancement Ore.
