The City of Gold is a domain in Genshin Impact’s Sumeru region. It’s got a couple of artifacts that boost attack speed and Dendro reactions. Here’s our Genshin Impact City of Gold artifacts guide to help you with Desert Pavilion Chronicle and Flower of Paradise Lost.

Genshin Impact City of Gold artifacts guide – Desert Pavilion Chronicle and Flower of Paradise Lost
The City of Gold domain in Genshin Impact can be found in Sumeru’s Khaj-Nisut ruins. You probably tagged the teleporters nearby, so just glide all the way to it. Once you interact with the entrance, it’ll become a fast travel point, too.
Leyline Disorder
The Leyline Disorder that’s active in this domain gives a 50% Anemo damage bonus for 10 seconds when a character triggers a Swirl reaction.
As for the enemies, you’re mostly fighting slimes and mushrooms, and they tend to be absolute pushovers. Simply use your elemental attacks, and pop some Anemo abilities for the Swirl procs.
Desert Pavilion Chronicle (DPC)
- 2-piece: +15% Anemo damage bonus.
- 4-piece: When charged attacks hit opponents, gain +10% normal attack speed and +40% normal/charged/plunging damage bonus for 15 seconds.
It’s easy to see that the Desert Pavilion Chronicle artifact set in Genshin Impact might be the best one for Wanderer Scaramouche. Since he relies a lot on normal/charged attack spamming, he receives a ton of benefits from this. You may also try it on Xiao, if you want. While the Vermilion Hereafter set is tailored for his playstyle/mechanics, this one might be viable if you have better rolls.
Flower of Paradise Lost (FPL or Paradise)
- 2-piece: +80 elemental mastery.
- 4-piece: The equipping character’s Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon reaction damage are increased by 40%. When they trigger these reactions, they gain an additional 25% bonus for 10 seconds, which can stack up to four times.
The Flower of Paradise Lost artifact set in Genshin Impact really looks and feels ridiculous. Firstly, the stacking bonuses are outright deadly, especially for characters who regularly trigger these reactions multiple times. Secondly, it doesn’t effect the other Dendro-based reactions. Last but not least, if you’ve been farming Gilded Dreams for top-tier rolls, you might feel disappointed that a new set is able to compete exceptionally.
Note: I don’t have Nilou, though I doubt I’ll recommend this set for her. Given her mechanics and HP-dependency, you’ll probably go with Tenacity of the Millelith.
