Genshin Impact Bunkoku Enigma stone slates and puzzle guide – Final objective and conclusion

Let’s discuss the last puzzle in Genshin Impact‘s Bunkoku Enigma sidequest.

After collecting all the stone slates, it’s time to return to where we found the strange mechanical device in the central temple. Place all the stone slates and activate the device.

You’ll realize that this is one of those moving plate puzzles (stuff I used to love as a kid). I’ve included an image below where I’ve jotted down numbers to certain plates:

The pattern should match the mural on the ceiling. Here are the steps:

• Move #1 and #2 up.
• Move #3 (the blank plate) to the left.
• For #4, #5, and #6, simply move them counter-clockwise. That means #4 is moved down, #5 is moved left, and so on.

Continue moving those three plates until the middle is empty. A bright light should flash, notifying you that the puzzle is complete (sort of).

Activate the mechanism and jump down to the room below. There, you’ll find a specter named Koyanagi. Talk to him and pick up the final stone slate.

Go back up top and place the slab on the floor. It’s the last piece of the puzzle, and it’ll allow you to interact with the mechanism again.

This time, the room down below has a Mysterious Samurai, the Vengeful Guardian Spirit (I guess Primarch Horus decided to play Destiny?).

Eliminate the samurai and open the Luxurious Chest to receive another Light Realm Core for your Bokuso Arts upgrade. Then, talk to Koyanagi again (he’s behind the metal grate).

Finally, speak with Yabe to complete The Bunkoku Enigma quest in Genshin Impact. You should receive an additional 40x Light Realm Sigils for your efforts.
