Genshin Impact Bunkoku Enigma stone slates and puzzle guide – Starting out and the northwest area

Let’s discuss the first few steps in Genshin Impact‘s Bunkoku Enigma sidequest, as well as the stone slates and puzzles that are found in the northwest area.

After talking to Yabe, you should see a marker directing you to the side of the temple.

When you enter it, you’ll see a lever and a strange mural on the ceiling (seen in the image below).

Upon heading back up top, you could enter the narrow opening to find a strange mechanical device (shown in the featured image).

Sadly, you can’t do anything with this yet because we still need to find the stone slates. If you open Enkanomiya’s map, you’ll see the quest markers for all three locations if you’re tracking the quest.

The Narrows – Library

Go to the northwestern area that’s outlined. It’s actually the Library where we once gathered the Five Lost Books. During the Three Realms Gateway Offering event, however, the entrance is blocked off. But, you’ll see three Electro totems nearby. To activate a couple of them, simply look for challenge markers.

Complete those and hit the totems with Electro to open the chamber. Inside, there’s another challenge marker where you’ll go up against Ruin Sentinels and Abyss Mages.

After defeating your opponents, you’ll be able to collect the Bunkoku Enigma stone slates. Two are on the ground floor on opposite sides from the challenge marker. And one is on the second-floor section past the stairs.
