Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG best Support Cards guide

The best Support Cards in Genshin Impact‘s Genius Invokation TCG need to have effects that synergize well with your chosen squad. It follows that you’ll have perks such as free swapping to benefit an aggressive playstyle, rerolls, or energy boosts. Since your deck needs to have 30 Support Cards and only six can appear in your hand at the start of the match, then you really need to pray to RNG that you get the ideal options.

Character Swap: Katheryne, Leave It to Me!, and Changing Shifts

Leave it to Me has no cost and is activated instantly. Compare this to Katheryne, which has the same basic effect, but costs 2x dice and can occur once per round. Changing Shifts, meanwhile, also has no cost, and it lowers the cost of Switch Character by one die (essentially making it free as well). These cards are ideal for procs that rely on character switching (i.e., Kaeya’s burst) or reactions (i.e., Sucrose’s Swirl if you have the dice).

Character Quickswap: When the Crane Returned

When the Crane Returned deserves its own spot here since it’s one of the best Genius Invokation Support Cards in Genshin Impact. Basically, when you use an elemental skill, the next character (i.e., left to right) will be immediately swapped as the active character. This presents amazing boons, such as quickly changing to another character for sustained DPS (assuming you have the dice/energy for them), and putting the previously active character, who’s probably taken some damage, on standby.

Card Draw: Strategize

Even if you know the best Support Cards in Genshin Impact‘s Genius Invokation TCG, they’d be useless if they won’t even pop up in your hand. That’s where Strategize comes in, since it lets you draw two cards at the cost of one random die.

Reroll: Jade Chamber or Knights of Favonius Library

The effects of these two are related to rerolling, though Jade Chamber tends to be more beneficial:

  • Jade Chamber – Two of the starting elemental dice are guaranteed to match the elemental type of your active character.
  • Knights of Favonius Library – Select any elemental dice to reroll when played; gain another chance to reroll during the roll phase.

Omni Conversion: Paimon or The Bestest Travel Companion

Both cards help out when you need to turn elemental dice into their Omni variants:

  • The Bestest Traveler Companion – Costs 2x dice; convert elemental dice into 2x Omni.
  • Paimon – Costs 3x dice; create 2x Omni when the action phase begins; has two uses.

Energy Boost: Liu Su, Iron Tongue Tian, or Starsigns

All three are decent for that much-needed energy when you want to unleash a character’s burst:

  • Starsigns – Costs 2x dice; active character gains +1 Energy.
  • Iron Tongue Tian – Costs 2x dice; when the phase ends, an active character gains +1 Energy if they’re not at the max threshold; has two uses.
  • Liu Su – Costs 1x dice; the character you switch to will gain +1 Energy if they do not have any; occurs once per round; two uses.

Liu Su tends to be more beneficial here due to the lower cost. Likewise, the character you’re switching to, presumably, wasn’t used beforehand. As such, they won’t have any Energy to speak of, allowing you to get that extra resource on the next round.
