Plunging Trial challenges, rewards, and tips

Let’s talk about the Plunging Trial in Battlefront: Misty Dungeon.

Ley Line Disorder/modifiers:

• Each opponent hit by a plunging attack increases the ATK of all party members by 6% for 30 seconds. This buff can stack for a maximum of +60% ATK.
• +120% plunging attack damage bonus.

These are the challenges and rewards:

• Complete the Plunging Trial once – 70x primogems.
• Finish a run without taking more than five hits from traps – 30,000 mora.
• Finish a run with six minutes or more remaining on the timer – 6x mystic enhancement ore.
• Complete a run while finishing at least five mechanism challenges (i.e., runes and benedictions) not counting the final challenge – 4x Hero’s Wit.
• Defeat 8x opponents using plunging attacks in a single run – 4x Freedom booklet.

All of these objectives are fairly easy to complete. Even if you couldn’t complete all of them in a single run, you can always redo the challenge later. For the plunging attack requirement, you will need to bring Albedo. Use his elemental skill to spawn the “flower elevator,” then dive and smack your foes. Try to do this objective during bouts where there aren’t a lot of ranged mobs like hilichurl archers.

The final encounter is also a good place to get a few more plunging attack kills since there are five treasure hoarders who could barely reach you. However, an Electro Cicin Mage and Fatui assassin will spawn once the treasure hoarders have been defeated.
