Ballads of Breeze Festive Challenge: Basic mechanics
So, what can you expect from the Ballads of Breeze mini-game in Genshin Impact‘s Windblume Festival? Well, for one thing, it has three difficulty modes:
- Normal – Available by default.
- Hard – Unlocked once you obtain 1,000 points on a normal difficulty run.
- Pro – Unlocked once you obtain 1,200 points on a hard difficulty run.
As for the mechanics themselves, think of it as a music/rhythm game. For my fellow Filipinos out there, it’s a bit like O2 Jam in a sense.
Basically, you’ll need to press eight keys: W, A, S, D on your left, and I, J, K, L on your right. Watch as rings make their way to those keys and press it at the correct time (once the ring reaches or is close to the key’s outline). If you do it successfully, you’ll earn points. The more correct presses you do in succession, the higher the combo rate you’ll achieve (leading to even more points).
Note: If you miss, the combo counter resets. On the bright side, you don’t get points deducted for pressing the wrong key at random times.
As mentioned earlier, you’ll start out playing a fairly solemn and relaxing tune on normal mode. Once you reach 1,000 points, you can tackle hard mode, and then pro mode after that if you get 1,200 points.
Even if the track doesn’t change for these new difficulty modes, the process becomes very hectic. You’ll see multiple rings for the same key in quick succession, multiple key presses that need to be done simultaneously, or rings that spawn late but speed up over time.
Celestial Destiny rewards
Still, if you practice, you’ll get it done soon enough. You don’t even need to get the max score since all you need is to reach a particular threshold.
These are the Ballads of Breeze high scores and tiers you’ll want to reach for their particular rewards:
- Klee (1,000 points on normal mode) – 30x Primogems and 100x Festive Tour Tickets.
- Noelle (1,200 points on hard mode) – 2x Hero’s Wit and 100x Festive Tour Tickets.
- Venti (1,800 points on pro mode) – 20,000 mora/gold.
Note: The characters are just the names of tiers/score thresholds. You’re not required to use them while completing the mini-game.
Okay, this is all we have for now when it comes to the Ballads of Breeze Festive Challenge in Genshin Impact‘s Windblume Festival. The remaining tracks will go live in a few days, so I’ll be updating the guide as usual.
