The Spiral Abyss is the toughest challenge in Genshin Impact and the endgame content of the game. This challenge forces you to bring your best teams as you fight against waves of enemies in timed challenges in order to win some great rewards, such as Primogems, Mora, and more. As the game’s most challenging content, you’ll need to understand each challenge and craft the best teams to succeed. Here’s our guide on Floor 11 of the Spiral Abyss and the best way to clear it.
How to clear Floor 11 of the Spiral Abyss in Genshin Impact
Each Spiral Abyss update grants a unique buff to help you out in your battles. This update is the Blessing of the Abyssal Moon: Keen Moon. This buff has the following effect:
“When a character recovers HP, that character gains 10% increased ATK for 10 seconds. Max 3 stacks. Each stack will be counted independently. When a character loses HP, that character gains 40 Elemental Mastery for 10 seconds. Max 3 stacks. Each stack will be counted independently. The effects from recovering and losing HP are independent of each other, and stacks are counted independently.”
Floor 11 of the Spiral Abyss has an additional Leyline Disorder that buffs your teams. The Leyline Disorder for Floor 11 has this effect: “All party members receive a 60% Pyro & Hydro DMG bonus.”
Recommended characters
The Leyline Disorder of Floor 11 of the Spiral Abyss in Genshin Impact benefits Hydro and Pyro characters, so it’s highly recommended to use teams that utilize these elements.
- Xiangling and Bennett are an incredibly strong Pyro duo, infamous for their synergy and strength since the launch of the game. These two units are still the premier Pyro duo and are a solid foundation for dozens of teams in the game. As this Floor provides a 60% Pyro DMG bonus, you should try and utilize these two characters.
- Xingqiu and Yelan are two meta Hydro units that can help support your teams with some strong Hydro damage. You can use both of these characters in a variety of teams, such as Dendro teams, Pyro teams with Hu Tao, or Electro-focused taser teams.
- Yoimiya and Lyney are strong Pyro units that can function well in mono-Pyro teams that take advantage of the floor’s Leyline Disorder. Lyney in particular functions best with a group of Pyro units to support him, while Yoimiya can work alongside other characters such as Xingqiu and Yelan.

Some recommended teams in Floor 11 of the Spiral Abyss in Genshin Impact is:

- Hu Tao / Zhongli / Xingqiu / Yelan
- Lyney / Kazuha / Xiangling / Bennett
- Alhaitham / Xingqiu / Yelan / Kuki Shinobu
Floor 11: Chamber One
- 1-star: Target defense progress greater than 20%.
- 2-star: Target defense progress greater than 40%.
- 3-star: Target defense progress greater than 60%.
The first half of chamber one is not a normal time challenge. You’ll have to defend a monolith at the center of the arena from taking too much damage. To earn three stars, you’ll need to make sure the monolith has 60% of its HP remaining. The first half features pure Pyro enemies: the Large Pyro Slime, the Pyro Specter, and the Pyro Whopperflower. The slimes can leap into the air and land on the monolith, dealing high damage, so it’s recommended to bring Hydro characters to deal with these slimes quickly.
The second half of chamber two features pure Cryo enemies: the Large Cryo Slime, the Cryo Specter, and the Cryo Whopperflower. These enemies have Cryo shields you can deplete quickly with Pyro units. It’s recommended to bring Pyro characters for this half to dispatch the Cryo shields quickly. Aim to defeat the slimes first before they leap into the air and dive onto the monolith.
Floor 11: Chamber Two
- 1-star: Remaining challenge time longer than 60 seconds.
- 2-star: Remaining challenge time longer than 180 seconds.
- 3-star: Remaining challenge time longer than 300 seconds.
The first half of chamber two features two waves of enemies: two Sternshield Crabs with Pyro shields and a Bubbler Seahorse with an Electro shield. The Electro shield whittles down quickly to Dendro damage, while the Pyro shield can be depleted by Hydro units. A Dendro team, such as Alhaitham, Xingqiu, Kuki Shinobu, and a flex unit can easily deal with these units. Aim for the Bubbler Seahorse first, as the Sternshield Crabs should leap to your location.
The second half of chamber two features three waves of enemies: three Cherubic Sea Hares with Cryo shields, three Primordial Bathysmal Vishap Hatchlings, and two Frostarm Lawachurls. There are five enemies on this half with prominent Cryo shields. Be sure to have a Pyro unit on hand to deal with these shields and increase your damage output, or you may have trouble hitting the time limit.
Floor 11: Chamber Three
- 1-star: Remaining challenge time longer than 60 seconds.
- 2-star: Remaining challenge time longer than 180 seconds.
- 3-star: Remaining challenge time longer than 300 seconds.
The first half of chamber three features two waves of enemies: three Nobushi enemies, and a pair of Kairagi enemies. Bringing an Anemo unit such as Kazuha, Sucrose, or Venti can easily ensure these enemies group together, allowing you to deal AoE damage. As a reminder, Kairagi enemies must be defeated at the same time, or the surviving Kairagi will refill most of their HP. You can choose to defeat each Kairagi individually, but it’s recommended to spread out your damage and defeat both Kairagi at the same time.
The second half of chamber three pits you against the Primo Geovishap boss. This boss has a phase that requires you to use a shield to counter a devastating attack. If you counter this attack, the Primo Geovishap will take immense damage. On the other hand, if you don’t use a shield, you’ll suffer devastating damage instead. Be sure to bring a shielder for this fight. Shields from the Crystallize reaction which can form from this boss’ attacks will also work towards this attack, which you can use instead of a shielder.
