No Man's Sky

No Man’s Sky review copies and embargo debacle

No Man’s Sky is the game many, many gamers are looking forward to but what’s happening with the reviews.

Press were under the impression that review copies would not be going out in advance, which is to be expected due to the secretive nature of the game’s development. Then last week copies started to appear on Ebay and now it looks like some retailers have simply broken the release date and have been selling PS4 versions of the game. This is why fans are seeing footage being streamed today.

For the PC version, well it’s too bad. There are no copies of that floating around and Hello Games have not been communicative about what’s happening with PC review code. We also know that there’s a day one patch which should address some of the game’s issues which were highlighted in comments and streams last week. With footage and streams now starting to appear from purchased copies, keep in mind there are fixes still to be applied to the game.

As soon as review copies arrive we’ll crack on with it.

Update: No Man’s Sky PC delay confirmed.
