Forza Horizon 5: Baja Expedition guide — All optional accolades

The smolder look.

Horizon Baja is one of the key locations in Forza Horizon 5. Located on the western section of the world map, you’ll be driving all over the desert before reaching the crater of an active volcano. Here’s our Forza Horizon 5 Baja Expedition Accolades guide to help you with tasks such as the Volcanologist Thermal Suit, Hot Spring Lake Sample, and more.

Forza Horizon 5 Baja Expedition Accolades guide – Volcanologist Thermal Suit, Hot Spring Lake, and more

The initial part of the Baja Expedition in Forza Horizon 5 has you driving a Hoonigan Ford RS200 Evolution, one of the best offroad vehicles in the game. Just follow the dirt path as it winds around the volcano. You’ll eventually reach a sloping area near the crater. A short cutscene will play after this (seen in the featured image).

Your main objective after the cutscene is to reach Rami (he’s marked on the minimap). However, this causes you to exit the area, and we definitely want to avoid that. Instead, you should complete the Baja Expedition optional Accolades in Forza Horizon 5. They’re a great way to increase your rank so you can progress further in the campaign. You can see the locations below:

Collect a sample from the Hot Spring Lake

There’s a pool of water to your right after the cutscene. All you need to do is drive your car to the middle of the water to complete this task. You’ll also receive a clue for the Ford Racing Escort Barn Find.

Wear the Volcanologist Thermal Suit

There’s a hut near the hot springs. Drive to it and a cutscene will play.

Find the Seismometer location

This Baja Expedition Accolade in Forza Horizon 5 is at the opposite end of the smoldering lava. Another scene will play once you reach this spot.

Smash five Steam Vents

The steam vents are just small piles of rock with steam hissing out of them. They’re found all over this area. When you’re done with all the objectives, head to the marker to progress. You’ll then ride a buggy down the volcano.

Completing the Baja Expedition in Forza Horizon 5 nets you the Deberti F-150 Prerunner. Likewise, you’ll see that more Cross Country Races have appeared on the map. Lastly, perhaps the most important reward is that you can gain access to the V10 story mission (if you have an additional Accolade point). If you do well in all the chapters, you’ll obtain the Koenigsegg Jesko, one of the fastest cars in the game.
