Forza Horizon 4 Cyberpunk 2077

Forza Horizon 4 is expanding its car collection with a ride from Cyberpunk 2077

Forza-punk.

Over eight years ago, developer CD Projekt Red first teased its next massive open world RPG. The world now knows it as Cyberpunk 2077, which is finally in our hands. However, if you’d have said to us back then, that it would crossover with a then-Xbox-exclusive racing game, we’d of probably laughed. That’s the reality we’re now in.

2018’s Forza Horizon 4 continues to grow, and is one of the better examples of games as a service. Only this week it added a bonkers track builder mode, which takes notes from Trackmania and its own Hot Wheels expansion for Forza Horizon 3. Now things are going even more over the top, as the 2058 Quadra Turbo-R V-TECH vehicle from Cyberpunk 2077, has been added to Forza Horizon 4.

This thing has been fully modelled, interior detail and all, in Forza Horizon 4. To get hold of the car in-game, you’ll have to drive up to Edinburgh and complete the NightCity.exe race event. Then, it’s yours to cruise around and explore Britain in. We’d imagine it to be quite a beast when it comes to race events too, which we’re definitely trying out.

What makes this collaboration so wild is the timing of it all. When Cyberpunk 2077 was first revealed, Forza was a strictly realistic racer on Xbox 360. The first Forza Horizon game came out around six months after we’d first heard of Cyberpunk 2077. Now, a car from the latter arrives in the former series, four iterations later.

Crossover culture

Forza Horizon 4 itself is no stranger to a good crossover. The game features a drivable Halo Warthog vehicle already, and even contains a showcase event about Halo, featuring Cortana and a host of flying banshees. That’s an internal Microsoft crossover though, and this Cyberpunk 2077 collaboration takes things to the next step.

The Cyberpunk 2077 vehicle is now live in Forza Horizon 4, and we’re gonna go test drive it up in the Scottish Highlands, right now.
