Fortnite Ripsaw Launcher

Fortnite update kicks off Ripsaw Launcher week and adds the Firework Flare Gun

Not your traditional weapons.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 introduced an array of content for players to enjoy. The new season has brought in new points of interest, new ways to travel around the map, and much more. And Epic Games is continuing to keep things fresh by adding new weapons to the rotation, like the Grapple Glove earlier this month. Now, the Ripsaw Launcher and Firework Flare Gun are taking the spotlight in Fortnite.

This week we’re celebrating Ripsaw Launcher week. It lasts from now until July 5. Throughout the week, you’ll find the Launcher in higher supply all around the island, in chests, supply drops, and even as ground loot. The Ripsaw Launcher is a useful weapon to have in more ways than one. Firing the weapon launches a destructive sawblade into the air that can rip through structures and builds, completely destroying them. Also, it is able to deal damage to enemies and vehicles. If you spend some time revving it up, the sawblade will have increased range and velocity. Or, you can keep holding the rev and turn the sawblade into a melee weapon to take down anything in your way.

Getting your hands on the Firework Flare Gun

In addition, a Firework Flare Gun has joined the loot pool. Shooting a flare ignites a firework and gives you your own firework display. At the same time, the explosion sets fire to the surrounding area. This weapon can also be found in chests, supply drops, and as ground loot.

It is important to note that the Fortnite Ripsaw Launcher and Firework Flare Gun will not feature in competitive playlists. It’ll be interesting to see what other weapons join the game as the season progresses. Perhaps donation boards could return, allowing players to vote for a weapon to be taken out of the vault.
