Where To Find Cloaks and Necklaces in Forspoken

Before we discuss each specific cloak and necklace location in Forspoken, let’s talk about the different ways you’ll pick them up during the campaign and elsewhere:

  • Preorder – If you preordered the game on Steam, you’ll receive the Elite Cloak and Spectra Combo Necklace.
  • Ruins/Caves/Forts – The ruins of villages and forts tend to have a single chest. Approaching it will cause enemy mobs to spawn, and you’ll have to take them out to grab your reward.
  • Cognoscents’ Guild Towers – Enter these lone towers and defeat the target therein.
  • Locked Labyrinths – These underground areas have a miniboss that you must eliminate to receive a reward.
  • Campaign Progression – One item, the Hooded Cloak, is given to you at the start of Chapter 3.
  • Poppets – You’ll obtain the Pelerine Cloak and Stranith Cloak upon completing all Chasing the Cat detours.
  • Curiosities Merchant/Sewing Kit – Upon amassing 64 Old Coins, you can purchase the Sewing Kit from the Curiosities Merchant. In turn, you’ll be able to craft the Unbroken and Home Sweet Hell. These are the two secret items that come from crafting.

Needless to say, you’ll be roaming the world of Athia if you want to collect all cloaks and neckless in Forspoken. Our suggestion is to progress further in the campaign, as each boss you hunt opens up new regions, while also giving you magic spells that aid with traversal (i.e., Zip grapple and Glide surfboard). These help you reach some spots in the game that are otherwise inaccessible. Moreover, various elemental spells will help you find the weakness of enemies that need to be defeated.

Junoon Cloak and Necklace Locations

You’ll arrive in the region of Junoon early on in the campaign. However, the enemies here are tougher, and you do need to obtain various traversal magic spells first. As such, you’d want to revisit this area much later:

  • Cipalian Way: Cloak – Locked Labyrinth.
  • Physic Garden: Cloak – Village Ruins.
  • Harvest Lands: Cloak – Forbidden Meadow Ruins – This area can only be entered by clearing the nearby Altar of Aasaan. A portal will take you there.
  • Wolfwoods: Cloak – Locked Labyrinth.
  • Farcoast Terrace: Cloak – Guild Tower – This zone has a jumping puzzle/gauntlet that requires a full campaign completion by defeating the final boss. Only then will you receive the Skip spell which grants temporary levitation/invisibility.

Cipal Cloak and Necklace Locations

The region of Near Cipal in Forspoken has a few cloak and necklace locations:

  • Sacred Peaks: Necklace – Village Ruins.
  • Barren Plains: Necklace – Locked Labyrinth.
  • Blessed Plains: Cloak – Locked Labyrinth.
  • Blessed Plains: Necklace – Village Ruins.

Praenost Cloak and Necklace Locations

You’ll travel to Praenost to eliminate Tanta Sila, which nets you the Zip spell (i.e., grapple). It can be used to reach ledges and platforms, especially those that have nifty rewards:

  • Guardians’ Way: Cloak #1 – Village Ruins.
  • Guardians’ Way: Cloak #2 – Locked Labyrinth.
  • Brass Hollow: Cloak – Caverns.
  • Middle Praenost: Necklace – Village Ruins.
  • The Citadel: Cloak – Locked Labyrinth.
  • The Citadel: Necklace – Village Ruins.
  • Pioneers’ Plain: Necklace – Locked Labyrinth.
  • Mustering Ground: Cloak – Village Ruins.

Avoalet Cloak and Necklace Locations

You’ll discover a bunch of Forspoken cloak and necklace items in Avoalet:

  • Water Garden: Necklace – Village Ruins.

  • Golden Hills: Cloak – Village Ruins.

Visoria Cloak and Necklace Locations

Lastly, the region of Visoria hides many cloak and necklace collectibles in Forspoken:

  • Windy Hills: Necklace – Village Ruins.
  • Humble Plain: Cloak – Locked Labyrinth.
  • Visorian Isthmus: Cloak – Locked Labyrinth – The zone can be reached by following the northern cliffside path Humble Plain and using your Zip grapple to cross gaps.
  • Visorian Plateau: Cloak #1 – Village Ruins.
  • Visorian Plateau: Cloak #2 – Locked Labyrinth.
  • Academy Hills: Cloak – Caverns.
  • Academy Hills: Necklace – Village Ruins.
  • Homestead Hills: Necklace – Locked Labyrinth – You’ll be able to go to this zone by taking the southern exit in the Visorian castle courtyard.
  • South Plateau: Cloak – Guild Tower – From Homestead Hills, follow the cliffside path all the way to the south to arrive at this zone.
