Former CD Projekt RED Devs Form New Studio, Working On New Title

This article is over 9 years old and may contain outdated information

Growth is something that many of us hope to achieve in our lifetime, be it in a big or small way. That’s what some developers from CD Projekt RED – folks responsible for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – had in mind when they formed their new studio Fool’s Theory, and teamed up with studio IMGN.PRO for a new project. Both studios are ambitious, and are aiming to put high quality games into players’ hands.

The project is still unnamed as of this writing, but is already in development. Fool’s Theory founder (formerly senior Quest Designer at CD Projekt RED) Jakub Rokosz said, “I can assure you that the game will break some proven schemes and we’ll be revealing more information about it very soon.”  The game will be a “daring combination of isometric genres” and is being built in the Unreal Engine 4, which the team has plenty of experience working with.

The Fool’s Theory team is composed of AAA veterans who wanted to take a break from huge productions. All of them have contributed to successful titles such as The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Ancient Space, Hard West, Kholat, and a number of indie titles. If designing games is what these folks want to do during a “break,” who are we to stop them? You can sign up for the newsletter of their new project (and stare at the countdown timer) here.
