FNAF Into the Pit Night 4 guide: Lure the bear, distract the creature, and look for the kid

Keep firecrackers out of reach from animatronics.

Oswald has survived quite a lot at this point in Five Nights at Freddy’s Into the Pit. But he must once again travel through time and attempt to find his dad. It’s time to refill our flashlight and look at our FNAF Into the Pit night 4 guide.

FNAF Into the Pit Day 4

Day 4 starts a bit differently than previous days, as your “dad” and mom are gone, leaving you to head directly to school. Once you get inside and head to your class, Dylan stops you to ridicule you in front of the class about your late-night dumpster diving.

As the laughter gets louder, you start to see the friendly animatronics that come to haunt you every night. Give Dylan a quick headbutt to the gut, run out of the school, and head to the ball pit in Jeff’s pizzeria.

Investigate the scream

Traveling back in time via the trusty ball pit, you hear yet another child scream for help. Go and search for the kid, but keep in mind that Bonnie is now roaming about, waiting to grab at your ankles from under the tables in the Dining Area.

Make your way to Storage, where you hear the screaming coming from the Security Room. As you open the door, our favorite bear Freddy pokes his head out and scares you off. If you want to help the kid and find your dad, you need to distract the bear somehow.

How to get firecrackers

Getting Freddy out of the Security Office isn’t something that can be accomplished by staying in the past. Instead, head back to the ball pit and return to the present. If you remember from our first day of school on Day 2, there was a kid who played with some firecrackers during recess.

Leave Jeff’s pizzeria and go to the Library, where you find Jet the firecracker kid. He mentioned that he would be willing to trade a rare item you find for one of his firecrackers. If you followed our FNAF Into the Pit Night 2 guide and exited your house through the attic, you should have grabbed the Freddy Mask that fell when you opened the attic.

Trade the Freddy Mask with Jet, and he’ll give you the perfect item to pull a fast one on Freddy. But before you can even try it out, your dad (who’s secretly Spring Bonnie) finds you and takes you home for the day. You need to escape the house for the fourth time and help the kid.

As always with every night, you must elude Spring Bonnie and make your way to the pizzeria. If you haven’t seen our other guides, there’s a handful of escape routes in the house. You can use a rope found in the basement to escape from the attic, use the ladder in the attic to escape through the window in the basement, or simply walk through the front door.

How to lure the bear

Always keep in mind that whatever exit you use on previous nights will be blocked later on. Leave the house and head to the pizzeria where you can jump back into the ball pit. Go back to the Security Room door and interact with it.

Freddy walks out of the room and gets flashbanged thanks to the trusty firecracker, allowing you to enter the room. There’s a ringing phone in here that will give you more lore on the establishment, but the child is located in the far right corner of the room. You can also grab your dad’s wedding ring, which is one of five dad items you’ll need to achieve certain endings.

Unfortunately, the kid won’t budge until you check the cameras and find where Spring Bonnie is. Interact with the cameras and navigate over to the Entrance Hall feed, where Spring Bonnie pops out and gives you a big kiss on the cheek. In order to get Spring Bonnie away from the exit, you need to cause a distraction.

How to distract the creature

This step is fairly simple but can be a bit ambiguous if you tend to overthink things (that’s me). So to save you the time and jumpscares running around, all you have to do is trigger a loud sound somewhere in the pizzeria. The easiest one to get to is the radio next to Foxy’s curtain in the Dining Area, but it does require you to have a free battery handy to activate.

Once you make a loud enough noise, head back to the Security Room where you’ll find the kid is nowhere to be found. Check the cameras, and you’ll see Spring Bonnie taking her from the Party Hallway to the Kitchen. Head to the Kitchen, and interact with the freezer door. You find out the kid is locked in the large freezer and you need to find something to break them out.

How to open the freezer

The walk-in freezer isn’t going to be easy to open, especially for a small child like ourselves. Thankfully, if you’ve spent some time playing games in the arcade, you may have noticed something in there that may help us with this problem.

Run over to the Arcade and if you look at the machine that one of the kids was tied to on Night 3, you’ll notice a large hammer that is perfect for breaking open freezer doors. Interact with it to add it to your inventory and head back to the Kitchen while avoiding the creepy-sounding animatronics.

Once inside, use the hammer on the freezer door and you’ll find the kid who’s passing in and out of consciousness. When they wake up, you tell them to make their way to the exit, but thankfully she speeds off before you even have time to finish your sentence.

Unfortunately, Spring Bonnie hears the loud noise you made and comes for you. Swat him away with some quick time events, and make a B-line straight for the ball pit. You make it back to the present by the skin of your teeth and vow to end this all tomorrow night. And if you need some help getting through that final night, our FNAF Into the Pit Night 5 guide is ready to take you home.
